Parent Participation
While Mersey Soccer has a professional coaching director and paid coaches, Mersey, like other local soccer clubs, absolutely depends on parent participation.
Parents help with registrations, manage the teams, maintain, set up King Jr. Field, arrange tournaments, and much more. Consequently, club fees include a “non-participation” fee per family. Parents who volunteer will receive a refund at the end of the season. Many parents find that becoming involved, helping the club, and meeting other parents makes the game more enjoyable for them too.

A credit or refund will be mailed to you at the end of the season.
Certified referees are entitled to futher compensation from the league.
Team Manager : Needs to be approved by the Mersey Club and be fingerprinted. Communicates with team parents by e-mail or phone to inform them of game schedules and practices, establishes a snack schedule for parent participation and organizes end-of-season parties and awards.
Upon satisfactorily completing the team manager duties the manager will receive a credit of a full scholarship($350-$400) to the following season (Winter or Spring)

Referee : We are looking for 16 referees.Must be qualified and have attended licensing courses and passed a test on the rules of the game
They will receive a $150 refund.They must referee a minimum of 5 official games during the season.

Field A : Lining field(During the week)

Field B : Set up field(Goals, Nets for games)

Field C : Take down field(goals for games, remove garbage from field)

Field D : Field host(meet,greet and guide)
